Graded Care Profile 2 (GCP2)

Neglect Awareness - Level 1 - e-learning course and Understanding Neglect- Level 2-  one day face-to-face training need to be completed prior to completing this training!

Graded Care Profile 2 (GCP2) Training:

This course is for any professional whose role may involve contact with children, including those in social care, early help, health (primary care, mental health, accident and emergency, midwifery, health visiting, sexual health), adoption services, fostering services, education (early years, child minders, primary schools, secondary schools, specialist provision, colleges, sixth forms), housing and any other relevant services in contact with children, young people, parent(s) or carer(s). 

Learning outcomes for GCP2 Training for Practitioners:

- Become licensed to use GCP2.

- Consolidate knowledge in relation to neglect.

• Know how GCP2 fits in with local practice in Walsall.

Following the GCP2 1 day training course, practitioners will be required to attend an Action Learning Set.

GCP2 Action Learning Set can ONLY be completed once you have completed the GCP2 Training. 

There should be a minimum of 8 weeks before attending an Action Learning Set to give you the chance to have started to use GCP2 or to have completed one fully.  Please do not book onto this session if you have NOT started using the tool in practice. 

During the session, there will be a GCP2 Trainer present to facilitate. 

Purpose of the session is to share:

• Good practice and how the tool is being used.
• Benefits of using GCP2 and what is working well.
• Barriers using GCP2 in practice and how we can work together to find ways to resolve them.

Also, to give you the opportunity to learn from other practitioners within or outside of your organisation.
