Trauma results from an event, series of events, or set of circumstances that is experienced by an individual as harmful or life threatening. While unique to the individual, generally the experience of trauma can cause lasting adverse effects, limiting the ability to function and achieve mental, physical, social, emotional or spiritual well-being.

This 3 hour training session helping to examine the impact of stress and trauma in our working life.

Learning Objectives

  • Looking at stress in our own lives and considering useful stress management techniques.
  • Reflecting on stress in the work place and how to manage stress more effectively at work.
  • A consideration of the impact of working with families that have experienced significant trauma and how this can impact out emotional well being (vicarious trauma)
  • How to recognise and address burnout at work

Please Note we reccomend you attend What is Trauma Training before booking this workshop if you have had no previous Trauma Informed training.
