Level 3 –Safeguarding professionals training
This course is for staff and volunteers across the partnership who predominantly work with children, their parents/carers and adults at risk, and who have considerable organisational responsibility for undertaking safeguarding practice, including designated or lead safeguarding professionals who contribute to multi-agency safeguarding assessments and inquiries.
Aims of the training:
- To understand your own values and attitudes that influences your response to Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB).
- To improve the ability of professionals to identify and respond appropriately to the needs of children and young people with display Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB) whom they have contact.
- Identify the factors that contribute to Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB).
- Understand when and how to seek advice and support to deal with the behaviours, and what advice and support is available from Walsall Children’s Services.
Learning Outcomes:
- To build on participants knowledge of what is inappropriate and harmful sexual behaviour and identify the factors that contribute to Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB).
