Who the Workshop is for:

This course is for any professional whose role may involve contact with children, including those in social care, health (primary care, mental health, accident and emergency, midwifery, health visiting, sexual health), police, adoption services, fostering services, schools and any other relevant services in contact with children, young people, parent(s) or carer(s). The timings of the webinars have been selected to ensure that anyone, no matter their profession, should find a convenient time be able to attend.

Learning Objectives

*Explore the difference between an allegation and disclosure 
*Consider how to appropriately Respond to an allegation  of sexual abuse and the importance of language and no verbal cues 
*Explore the Child protection and police process' following an allegation and understand the roles of different professionals 
*Becoming more comfortable in supporting a child but holding a neutral position to support the child and any investigations 
*Where to access support when supporting a child who has made an allegation of sexual abuse or where sexual abuse is suspected

Please Note we reccomend you attend Introduction to Child Sexual Abuse training before booking this workshop if you have had no previous Child Sexual Abuse training.
