Reducing Parental Conflict Awareness Training Level 1 2024-2025

This training is the first of two sessions to enable professionals, partners and volunteers to understand the following:

1. What Is Parental Conflict
2. The effects of parental conflict on children, young people and parents /carers
3. Signs and symptoms of witnessing parental conflict
4. An introduction to the Vulnerability Stress Adaptation Model
5. The difference between Parental Conflict and Domestic Abuse

This will allow participants to challenge parents in a constructive manner and start to look at how motivational interviewing can allow parents to believe in positive change.

Course is for employees and volunteers from all Walsall agencies who work with:

• children and young people
• adults
• carers and families
